N-gage(d) in dilemma

When it rains, it pours. Last friday I posted my Tungsten W at Bidshot (the pinoy ebay!) hoping that a rich soul would have some techno-urge and purchase my overpriced paperweight. True enough, someone made a deal via text message sunday. We were to meet the next day at around 630-7pm, near my office in Makati. Guess what? he actually had the guts to tell me that he ran out of money and would like to purchase it 3K less than what was initially agreen upon. Fuckin jerk. So now I'm stil stuck with my T|W, still hoping for a buyer and still longing for the Nokia n-gage.

I was also scheduled for an interview at Accenture today. Was asking for a Team Leader postion (supervisory) but last night, their HR called it off due to some "technicality". Apparently they still have in their record my previous application around 3 months ago. I'm not really sure how it ended. As far as I'm concerned I've completed everything that was required of me and passed with flying colors. I guess slapping a 42,000/month salary plus benefits to a 25 year old isn't exactly their cup of tea. Oh well, the hunt goes on...

That's two. Next off is how I came about three incredible projects. Each one with a lot of potential for career advancement, learning and growth. One problem: my team leader. I don't know, I've come across a lot (trust me, a LOT) of morons and pathetic idiots who make a living out of corporate stupidity but nothing beats this one. I mean, he is not stupid for one. He's actually pretty capable of handling projects (NOTE: handling does not include development) BUT (there a big BUT here) I just can't take how he runs the farm. He thinks that he's technically capable but he's not. He may have a good grasp of SQL and the old school development tools but that's it. Leave the cup of coffee to us. Talk about spreading yourself thinly.

I watched The Saint about two weeks ago. Simon Templar said that to be a saint, he needs to perform 3 miracles. I wonder if 3 mishaps would do...
